When I first started out in making content, things were a pretty simple. I made stuff, I created a product page and I got paid. Well that's an oversimplification, but that's essentially it. For a while, I was happy with that. But there were some things that made me re-align my thinking to going independent. The first and most important thing, was getting paid. I am amazed at how many content creator websites have what I consider to be unreasonable processes for paying their content creators. I don't like being cut off from the money I am earning by someone who holds the Sword of Damocles over my ability to earn. I call it being at the mercy of content selling websites. A lot of times, I found myself not being paid on time, or earning far less that I should be earning because of payout percentages. You're doing 90% of the work, but you're not collecting 90% of the royalties. Most of the times, sites only advertising on your behalf is a mailing list, or relying on people who know the

I finally opened my own little store on the internet. I sell through Cubebrush, Gumroad, and Renderhub at the moment, but I’m not entirely satisfied with my selling experience at most of them, so I’ve decided to host the stuff I make on my own website, imakestuff3d.com. As an added incentive to buy from me direct, I am selling my products at the lowest price they can be had on the net. As an opening incentive to anyone who’s interested, During the month of November, everything is available for 50% off, by using the coupon code THANKSGIVING at checkout. This coupon code is reusable for the entire month of November and I’ll be adding everything I make in the coming days.

Most of the people who see my artwork know that I work 95% of the time in DAZ Studio, but that is now coming to a close. Here's the thing --I love the DAZ studio models, and I've had a lot of fun with Iray and 3Delight over the years. My decision comes on the heels of DAZ Studio's move to Encrypted content. I'm not really down on Encrypted content as a whole, but the way they are implementing it has me concerned, and so I choose not to continue working with it. But let me get to the heart of what really pisses me off about the whole thing.  We've been asking for things for years as users of DAZ3D, Better cloth dynamics, Strand based hair, di

Hello, my dear! Thank you so much and...

I ask you to pay attention to my gallery. Perhaps you will like it and you wish to be friends with me and follow me, my dear friend! You can always order a commission, or make a donation if you like and interesting in what I do! In any case, I wish you a great day and good mood! Always yours, Anastasiya Kuncezva. ♥ ♥ ♥

"I'm old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway"
Aaaah so THAT's why you unironically use the argumentum ad populum when defending something you like.
You know it's retarded, but you still do it.
You're oh so amusing. You couldn't make your case so now you're here on my page to try and make yourself relevant, but you're not. You're a copy artist without a style to call your own --you just copied someone else's and you want to lecture people. I'm pleased to know just how much the truth got under your skin. Now you'll never be rid of that nagging doubt in your mind so here you are --like a child, trying to prove yourself. Not a single favorite in four years --must be crushing to know that you can't reach any intended audience and evoke enough emotion to hit the favorite button. Man, that's got to be the easiest thing in the world but it seems no one's doing it for your artwork. Must get under your skin to know a tired old man like me can get 1217 favorites, while in four years you haven't gotten a single one... What makes this all even more satisfying is that now you can't let it go because you got destroyed in debate, so now here you are --unable to accept that you're not as hot shit as you thought you were. No matter what you say, the numbers are there slapping you in the face and it galls you that you can't do a damn thing about it. Welcome to the Senfgas pity-party, loser.
Oh but I did make my case, in which I explained you that you're confusing "favorites" and "followers". One could have 500 million followers and zero favorites. And that having zero followers will never make anyone's points inaccurate.
Unfortunately, you FLED away from my points. Now that's not something a child would do, or is it? A child wouldn't flee in a cowardly manner, a child wouldn't obsessively assert that popularity is the only measure of worth and artistic talent. A child wouldn't read two different words and confuse them for years of using the same website, would he?

Now, as for this point of yours:
"You're a copy artist without a style to call your own --you just copied someone else's and you want to lecture people."
What good is a style of your own, if it isn't as good as Shirow's.
Ilya of all people knows the value of copying things, as his career is partially built on tracing pre-existing drawings and selling them as his own YET when it is time to live up to the standards set up by previous character designers, he shrinks away, back to the safety of drawing the same instagram womanchild he's been drawing for the past 6 years. Irony of ironies, his attempt to be original fell flat. He should just have put his expert-level tracing skills to good use and traced the manga.

At least I copy a better style. And I don't pass off traced artworks as my own.

But alas, I never chose to fav any drawing, and my favorites gallery is still empty. Which means that my followers no longer exist, and without followers, my drawings lose any quality they may have had, and if my art sucks, well, I can no longer tell what looks bad even if I'm staring at it, thus, I can no longer point out that Ilya's design is lame even though it is.

Oh wait, actually that's not how it works, here's how it works:

anybody with two brain cells and a modicum of taste can tell that Ilya did a subpar job. It doesn't matter if you're popular, if you have a job in the industry, if you can draw, or anything. All you need is eyes, common sense, some decent taste, and...
Oh right
You also need a little bit of honesty and moral integrity. Just a little. Otherwise you'll flee from arguments, lie, wrongfully accuse others and bring up irrelevant bullshit like age, popularity, career, webpage statistics, and a billion other trifles in a clumsy attempt to hide yourself from sight.
